Temperatures range from 26.6 C - 32 C, from October to February to minimums of 2 C from June to August. The summer rainy seasons runs from November to March and rain is rare between the months of May to August. Dress is light, casual and informal - trousers and long sleeved shirt and pullover for early mornings and evenings; loose fitting, warm weather clothes including hat for daytime. In some of the more sophisticated venues, men may be required to wear a tie and jacket and ladies may require dresses. For safari, bring a comfortable pair of walking shoes, light windproof jacket, sun hat and sunglasses. Don't forget binoculars, insect repellent, sunscreen, swim wear and a flashlight.

Geography
Botswana has land borders with Zimbabwe in the northeast, South Africa in the south and southeast and with Namibia to the west.
The country is on a mean altitude of 3,300 ft. A vast plateau of about 4,000 ft in height, extending from near Kanye north to the Zimbabwean border, divides the country into two distinct topographical regions. The eastern region is hilly bush country and grassland. To the west lie the Okavango Swamps and the Kalahari Desert. The only sources of permanent surface water are the Chobe River, the Limpopo and the Okvango.
