Saiga Antelope
lat.: Saiga tatarica

The Saiga belongs to the family of the horn carriering goats. It has a body weight from 40 to 70 kg, a bodylength of up to 150 cm and a height of approximately 70 cm. The head is quite large and forms at the nuestern a type of trunk. This trunk has above all the function of an air moisturizer of the respiratory system.

Predominantly dawn-active animals, which can form herds of up to 100 animals.
