Warning From Fish & Wildlife Service The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (FWS) warned American hunters that it is illegal for them to hunt in Iran as well as to import trophies from that country. This word  came on February 5, 2000, during the SCI Convention in Reno, Nevada.  In response to a question from the audience during the annual FWS Seminar, an FWS official stated that unless an American hunter gets a permit from the Department of State, he cannot legally hunt in Iran due to the sanctions applied against that country.
